Cardiac
Test Results Notification Policy |
|

For an "established" patient who is seen by an Accredited Cardiology physician and/or
nurse practitioner, your results will be discussed during an office visit that will
be scheduled 1-3 weeks after your testing.
For a "non-established" patient who is sent by your primary care physician (PCP)
for cardiac testing only, your primary physician will discuss your test results
with you according to their policy.
Regardless whether you are an established patient or not, if your test results show
a potentially life-threatening abnormality, we will call to discuss the results

Due to the large
volume of out patient diagnostic studies performed through our office, it is our
practice policy to call only for those test results that will impact patient management
prior to the next scheduled visit. Otherwise the test results, their implications
and any proposed management plan will be discussed at that time. Please ensure that
you schedule a follow up visit no later than 6 weeks after the date of the examination.
